About me
I've always been at my best when enabling others to thrive, facilitating conversations and finding creative ways to enable people to be their natural best selves. This was true in the playground and when leading teams, and it's true in my coaching and mentoring work.
I made a number of career and life transformations, starting my career as a broadcaster and voiceover artist, co-founding a music & events start-up and running it for 10 years. Transitioning into the world of technology I spent the next 10 years building and leading People/Talent teams for fast moving tech startups and scale-ups, guiding C-suite level executives and leaders on how to drive greater team performance, lead through change and manage the impact for people at a group and individual level.
It was through the power of coaching that I first understood the real meaning of leadership. Energised by how coaching helped me in my journey, realising that it has all the best parts of my People Leadership role (supporting, developing and enabling others to excel), and equipped with a valuable insight on how a dedicated coach can help us thrive in work and life, I now work with clients who too are keen to raise their self-awareness, lean into their strengths and reach their full potential.
Most of my work tends to be with founders and senior leaders, but I also frequently coach those stepping into leadership positions or into bigger / different roles and I often work with those experiencing life and career transitions, including returning from maternity leave and / or experiencing redundancy. Due to my lived experience, I have a particular soft spot for anyone working in technology sector, startups / scale-ups, fellow People-People (HR/Talent) and women in leadership.
My values of authenticity, courage, integrity, kindness, service, freedom, joy, simplicity and connection inform how I coach - I'm always in 'your corner', supporting and guiding you as you navigate the challenges in your role / career / life. I aim to consider things from multiple perspectives, not afraid to challenge existing norms and behaviours to encourage finding a better way forward. I'm open & direct in my approach, coaching with warmth, compassion and humour, aiming to hold things lightly, and supporting you in your quest to do, and be better.
I've completed the training for ILM Level 7 Diploma for Senior Level and Executive Coaching, working towards EMCC accreditation and currently also completing a Foundations of Group and Team Coaching Course.
